Long Introduction (Read this to avoid getting hopelessly confused and silly)

This list provides episode numbers, credited animation studios (in brackets next to the ep numbers), original airdates, contents, timings, writers and directors (where they're known), summaries, gag credits and a transcription of each end tag.

Timings are given after the title and credits; if there is a commercial break within a segment, the number of commercial breaks is indicated in funny squiggly brackets: {}. So an entry like 59:56 {37} would mean that the (hypothetical, thank gosh) episode in question is 59 minutes 56 seconds long and takes time out for 37 breaks.

Writers are identified by a "W," directors by a "D." A story-only credit (WHAT story?) can be found next to a good ol' "S."

The segments with title cards are in quotation marks; segment summaries are indented.

Six different animation studios have worked on "Freakazoid!" They are:

Animal House
Dong Yang Animation Co., Ltd.
Koko Enterprise Co., Ltd.
Seoul Movie Co., Ltd.
Studio Junio
Tama Production Co., Ltd.

Most segments on the show have been animated by two or more studios working jointly; this is indicated by a slash. Example: In episode # 7, the first short was animated by Animal House and the second by Koko, Dong Yang and Seoul, so the listing reads: Animal House, Koko/Dong Yang/Seoul.

The chimpanzee in the main title has a varied range of activities. There are four different chimp cameos used at various times, and they are indicated as follows: "Leaping" (Shot of chimp jumping in the air), "Hat" (Throwing away a snazzy-looking piece of headgear), "Dancing" (Chimp apparently trying to revive the boogie-woogie), and "Animated" (Two cartoon simians pop up and join our hero). Other variations: Sometimes the shot of Freakazoid in a cage ("Freakazoo!") is replaced by a box containing a kazoo that sells for $0.00 ("Free kazoo!), the main title of episode # 7 has a subliminal Emmittt Nervend appearance, and in episode # 1 the sound of clapping hands is dubbed into the second half of the theme song. Get it? Got it? Good.

Episodes are listed in numerical, not airing order. The listing of the 24 regular episodes comes first, followed by the compilation episodes made up of previously-shown material (although some of them include new filler segments or end tags). Animation studios, summaries and timings are not provided for compilation episodes.

A big thankeroonie to: Sean Carolan, Paul Rugg, Kane Leung, Terry Wilson, Barbara Thomas, Brett Middleton, Chris Kalisiak, Ron "Keeper" O'Dell, Constance Cochran, and Weena Mercator as the Hopping Woman.

"Dexter's Date" (W:Paul Rugg & Alan Burnett, D:Jack Heiter) - 18:42 {2}
Dexter's long-awaited date with Steff is interrupted by the Lobe,
who has a fiendish plan to cripple the TV broadcasting industry,
and an even more fiendish musical number to perform.

One time a space ship full of aliens came down and kidnapped our
writing staff. The aliens threatened to blow up the Earth with a
Solonite bomb unless the writing staff wrote a big, splashy musical
number for the Lobe. The writing staff worked for days on the song.
The aliens were so pleased with it that they agreed not to blow up
the Earth. So the next time someone says, "I don't know why they
did that real long musical number in Freakazoid," you can tell them.
You can tell them of the time a rag-tag group of cartoon writers saved
the earth from destruction. And that each new day that dawns over this
great, big blue planet of ours is due to these brave individuals.
